Its historic buildings and their exhibits illuminate the everyday life and work of the regional hill farmers. You will learn about the daily routines of a subsistence farmer, about unique aspects of hill-farming, and about the structural economic changes that led to the development of present day dairy farming for which the region is famous today.
The tour around the museum will lead you past our herb and cottage garden and our apiary. Inside the farmhouse children will love to find real farm-animals and a hay-stack open for play while parents can enjoy spectacular views of the mountains.
If you feel hungry after touring the museum, you are invited to a rest in the historic alpine dairy hut on the museum grounds.
The museum shop in the entrance building has regional products, books, gifts and souvenirs on offer. Short descriptions of the museum in English, French and Italian are available at the front-desk in the entrance building.
